HOUSE OF HOLLAND PRE-FALL 2014 - GIDDY UP
The House of Holland girl takes a reminiscent trip back to her heady days as a horsey boarding school "mean girl". A quick spray of white musk brings back memories of bad hair, worse skin and a reignited love for her teenage heroes. A world of 'muck-up days', posh girl pursuits, boyband desires and endless detentions.
Crisp white shirts and denims are "defaced" with multi coloured embroideries and the school blazer has been reinterpreted for her modern wardrobe. A prefect badge motif is executed in lurex jacquards and printed onto fine washed silk.
Cashmere polo necks in neon brights sit beneath boxy cardigans and silk blouses, while tailoring appears in British over-check cloths with feminine scalloped edges and Steiff teddy bear fur collars.
Oversized tri-colour varsity overcoats and intarsia Steiff fur blazers mix with with patent leathers, embroidered denims and tactile navy velvet with gold piping.
Jersey pieces are printed and reinterpreted versions of her favourite movie and boy band posters, illustrated by Hattie Stewart.
